The client's vision for the reception area of this Art Deco Boutique Hotel includes:
A design that respects the building's heritage and history.
A modern interpretation of Art Deco aesthetics.

A functional reception desk and a comfortable seating area.
Concept: Inspired by the opulence of the Art Deco Era, this project aims to fashion a reception area exuding luxury and glamour by using geometric metal-frame windows and showcasing intricate Art Deco patterns to convey the feeling of the Era. Curvilinear elements, a rich dark colour palette, and elegant materials like black marble wall tiles and metallic accents contribute to an ambience of sophistication. Dark grey silk curtains and contemporary lighting fixtures add texture and modernity to the space, which seamlessly blend the grandeur of the Art Deco Era with the demands of modern luxury.

Concept:
The design unfolds within the scope of a new development, where a free-standing construction takes root in the client's expansive gardens. The concept is a poetic expression of respect for Japanese cultural heritage.
Japanese timber breathes life into the staircase and structural elements, creating a tactile connection to the land. Fusuma, traditional Japanese sliding doors adorned with translucent paper, plays a dual role – inviting the gentle caress of natural light while maintaining an aura of serene privacy. Japanese floral wallpapers grace the walls, painting an ephemeral masterpiece that evolves with the changing daylight.
On the ground, Tatami mats weave the fabric of tradition underfoot, grounding the space in the rituals of Japanese tea ceremonies. The design extends beyond the interior, with a roof shape that pays homage to traditional architectural forms while infusing a contemporary edge. The design provides an intimate space for tea ceremony gatherings.
