I have developed a strong foundation in spatial design through my studies. My technical proficiency includes AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, and V-Ray. I am particularly proficient at detail-focused work and excelling in formatting presentations. Another unique strength is my fluency in three languages – English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese, which enables me to work effectively in different cultural settings.
The goal is to create a straightforward and uncomplicated ambience that introduces the idea of "simplifying complexity" within the Art Series Hotel Group.
The design concept takes inspiration from the artwork of Derek Schapper, an artist with a keen interest in working with timber. Drawing from the observation of wildlife, the timber wall ornaments and artworks aim to convey a sense of sophistication and refinement. These pieces reflect the elegant and graceful results of Schapper's creative endeavours, infusing the hotel environment with a touch of natural beauty and artistry.
The design concept of bringing outdoor elements indoors by incorporating natural materials is a creative and innovative approach that seeks to blur the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces. This concept revolves around the idea of creating a harmonious connection between the built environment and the natural world utilising elements such as wood, stone, water, plants, and other organic textures. These materials are carefully chosen for their ability to evoke a sense of nature's presence and to infuse the space with a calming and organic aesthetic.
